2026–2027 Tuition Assistance & ESA's
Thank you for your interest in Midwest Christian School! We believe in providing a Christ-centered, high-quality education that is accessible for families. Below is a simple breakdown of our tuition, available financial support, and annual fees to help you plan and prepare for the upcoming school year.
Tuition Totals K-5th Grade:
- Annual Tuition for 2026-2027 school year: $11,100
- Your out of pocket cost: August - May ($300 a month out of pocket cost per student)
Education Savings Accounts (ESA):
- Iowa ESAs will be applied toward tuition. These accounts are applied for, funded by, and administered through the State of Iowa Department of Education website.
- ESA estimated Amount credited to your student's tuition for 26-27 : $8,100 per student
- Remaining family responsibility after ESA: $3,000 ($300 a month for 10 months. Aug - May)
- Parents must apply for ESA each school year.
Academic Fee:
- $300 per student (non-refundable)
- This is a one-time annual fee and must be paid at the time of enrollment to consider students finalized for enrollment.
Transportation Credit
Families may be eligible to receive reimbursement for transportation expenses from their public school district. For the 24-25 school year, the district reimbursement paid directly to parents averaged $719 per eligible student. Eligibility and filing instruction are unique to each public school district.
Iowa Tuition & Textbook Credit
Families can claim a credit of up to $500 for tuition and textbook payments on their State of Iowa income tax return. Consult your accountant and the Iowa Department of Revenue for more information on your specific tax situation and eligibility.
