Statement of Faith
Our faith and mission is built on the Word of God, the inspired and infallible truth that reveals who God is and who we are created to be. Every belief and practice at Midwest Christian School flows from the life-changing message of Jesus Christ — that ‘With God, all things are possible.’
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative Word. It is true, unchanging, and the final authority for all matters of faith, life, and education. Through Scripture, God reveals Himself, shows His plan for salvation, and gives us principles to live by in every area of life.
God
We believe in one eternal & Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — who is holy, loving, and personal. God is the Creator of all things and desires a personal relationship with every person through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay for our sins, and rose again, conquering sin and death. Salvation is found in Him alone, and through faith in Jesus, we receive forgiveness, freedom, and new life.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit lives in every believer, empowering us to live holy and victorious lives. The Spirit gives gifts to the Church for the building up of the body and leads believers into truth, comfort, and boldness in witness. The proof of the Holy Spirit at work in our lives is the 'fruit' our lives produce.
Humanity and Sin
We believe all people are created in the image of God with purpose and value. Because of sin, humanity is separated from God and cannot restore that relationship apart from Jesus Christ. The brokenness we see in the world is the result of this separation, and only through Jesus can we be restored to right relationship with God and one another.
Salvation and Redemption
We believe salvation is a free gift of God’s grace. It cannot be earned by works but received by faith in Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection make it possible for anyone to be forgiven, made new, and filled with the Holy Spirit to live a transformed life.
The Church and the Kingdom of God
We believe the Church is God’s plan to reach the world — a community of believers committed to loving God and others, growing in faith, and sharing the hope of Jesus. Jesus is the Head of the Church, and His Kingdom will reign forever.
Family and Education
We believe parents are the primary spiritual leaders of their children, and the Christian school exists to partner with families and the local church in raising children to know and love God. Education at Midwest Christian School is not just about academics; it’s about helping students discover God’s purpose for their lives and equipping them to live it out.
Marriage and Sexuality
We believe God created humanity as male and female, equal in value and distinct in design. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman and is God’s established foundation for family and society. Sexual intimacy is a gift from God reserved for marriage between husband and wife. We affirm every person’s worth and dignity while holding to God’s design for human identity, sexuality, gender, and relationships.
The Sanctity of Life
We believe all human life is sacred and created by God in His image — from conception to natural death. Every person has purpose and value, and we are called to protect, love, and serve others in every stage of life.
Our Calling
As a Christ-centered school, we are committed to developing students spiritually, academically, and relationally. We seek to raise up leaders who love Jesus, serve others, and impact the world for the glory of God.
